Part of the Nationwide Pension Fund’s diverse investment strategy includes property investment. The Trustee of the Fund have recently created an 'Ethical Landlord Policy' so that the Fund has a clear and transparent investment and management policy for its investment in all property holdings.

Mark Hedges, the Fund Chief Investment Officer, commented that “ground rents represent a high quality long term cashflows for the fund, however none of the Fund’s ground rent investments are of the type that has seen the recent adverse press coverage”.
